Managing a remote or hybrid team often means flying blind. You can see outputs — tickets closed, features shipped — but not the effort behind them. Are people overwhelmed? Struggling with focus? Burning out quietly? Without visibility, it's hard to help.
Existing tools were either too invasive (screenshot-every-30-seconds surveillance tools) or too lightweight (basic time loggers). We wanted something in between: honest visibility that respects employees while giving managers the data they need to lead well.

TrackDots is a lightweight desktop app (Windows and macOS) that runs in the background when an employee starts a session. It records which apps are in use, captures periodic screenshots, and measures keyboard and mouse activity to calculate a productivity score.
All data flows to a secure web dashboard where managers can see live team status, work diaries, attendance, and deeper analytics like burnout risk and anomaly detection. Employees get their own view — they can see their own diary and scores, but not their colleagues'.

TrackDots is designed for companies with 3–200 employees who need honest visibility into remote or hybrid work. It works especially well for agencies, software teams, and operations-heavy businesses where output quality depends on sustained focused work.
